Vena Cava Filter Filter For The Inferior Vena Cava With And Introducing System

The Inferior Vena Cava Filter, developed by Braile Biomédica, has a double cone geometry with cones opposed at the apex. The distal cone is composed of 8 stainless steel wire rods, 0.30 mm in diameter, which retain thrombi (filtering), while the proximal cone has four rods of the same material, which serve to center and anchor the filter. The rods are mechanically joined by interference between two 5 mm long stainless steel tubes. The catheter can be inserted via either the femoral vein or the jugular vein, at the physician's discretion. The delivery catheter is a sheath type with a 7 French introducer, and the sheath is made of kink-resistant material.
