Ethics Committee for the Use of Animals (CEUA)
Responsible researchThe Ethics Committee on the Use of Animals at Braile Biomédica (CEUA - Braile) is responsible for evaluating and monitoring all teaching, research, and innovation projects involving experimentation and the use of animals. Therefore, the CEUA issues opinions on experimentation protocols with laboratory or wild animals, ensuring ethical principles.
Compliance with national standards
CEUA - Braile bases its decisions and issuance of certificates on the guidelines and standards advocated by national regulatory bodies, such as the Brazilian Society of Science in Laboratory Animals and the National Council for the Control of Animal Experimentation (CONCEA).
