Centriflux® Safira Centrifugal Pump

The Safira Centriflux Centrifugal Pump consists of a body (casing) with two connectors (upper inlet and side blood outlet), which contains a rotor inside (magnetically coupled), responsible for generating the centrifugal force that propels the blood. The product is composed of polymeric materials and a sphere, suitable for medical applications and sterilizable with Ethylene Oxide (ETO).

The body and internal rotor of the Safira Centriflux Centrifugal Pump, components with the most contact with blood, are produced from injected polycarbonate (PC) with a profile that allows for a reduction in hemolytic trauma typically associated with cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB) procedures during surgeries.
