Safira Centriflux® with BRCoating®
The Safira Centriflux Centrifugal Pump with BRCoating is intended for extracorporeal circulation and consists of a housing with blood inlet and outlet connectors and a magnetically coupled rotor that generates centrifugal blood flow.
The device is manufactured from medical-grade polymeric materials suitable for Ethylene Oxide (ETO) sterilization. Blood-contact surfaces, including the polycarbonate housing and rotor, are designed to reduce hemolytic trauma and are treated with the biocompatible BRCoating technology to reduce blood interaction with the device.
Indication
- The Centrifugal Pump Safira Centriflux with BRCoating is indicated for the extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) technique in the extracorporeal life support (ECLS) procedure in patients with cardiac and/or respiratory failure. The Centrifugal Pump Safira Centriflux with BRCoating is also indicated to be used for patients who need surgical procedures requiring cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB). The Centrifugal Pump Safira Centriflux with BRCoating is for use with patients when required blood flow rate will not exceed 7L/min. This device shall only be used by properly trained and qualified personnel.
