The Bovine Monocuspid Pericardium Patch is made from bovine pericardium, previously treated with glutaraldehyde at a concentration of 0.5% in phosphate buffer pH 7.4, purified with activated charcoal. This chemical treatment gives it suitable characteristics of resistance, flexibility, and absence of antigenicity.
