Case of mitral valve-in-valve procedure

In the month of July, the 50th case of mitral valve-in-valve procedure was performed with the Inovare® transcateter valve at InCor (Heart Institute of Hospital das Clínicas of FMUSP)!
This procedure is the implantation of a transcatheter valve into a previously implanted dysfunctional biological valve. It may be the only option for severe patients, whose substitution (re-exchange) of a bioprosthesis is contraindicated.
The 50 cases of Inovare® mitral valve-in-valve implant in InCor show the importance and quality of our product, improved technology and the fruit of the partnership between the industry and the institution.
To the Professors Doctors José Honório Palma, Fábio Jatene, Leonardo Paim, Henrique Ribeiro, our congratulations and our many thanks.
Inovare® valves have already been implanted in Brazil and in five other countries, and about 10% of them have been used in the treatment of mitral bioprosthesis dysfunction.
