Braile Biomédica was founded in 1977 by the cardiovascular surgeon Prof. Dr. Domingo Braile and it is located in São José do Rio Preto, in the state of São Paulo. With the status of a research company and the promotion of national technology, Braile Biomédica is a center of excellence in the Brazilian medical industry.
It was built due the need to enable heart surgery for the entire population, the company began its activities with the development and production of cardiac biological valves and bovine pericardial grafts, considered pioneering products in Brazil and one of the pillars that made Brazil one of the number one countries in the heart surgeries ranking. With the creation of Braile Biomédica, it was possible to level the prices of the market and of the multinational competitors.
Known as an advanced manufacturer of medical, surgical and hospital products, Braile Biomédica develops and manufactures products of the Cardiovascular, Biological & Solutions, Eletrical medical, Endovascular and Oncology lines, results of the added technology applied to other areas of Medicine, with a mission to apply Science, Innovation, Leadership and Technology in the creation and manufacture of medical products and equipment.
The company currently has approximately 300 direct employees, as well as, several complex departments such as Research, Development and Innovation (PD & I) and the Experimental Campus, known for being an advanced scientific research center formed by the Experimental Surgical Center "Prof. Dr. E. J. Zerbini" and by the Testing Laboratory "Dr. Lino Braile and Dr. Lino Ítalo Braile".

- Unprecedented project by Braile Biomédica, in a development partnership with the Eldorado Research Institute, EMBRAPII unit is presented at the 8th Brazilian Congress of Industry Innovation. The equipment has dual functionality, which offers greater monitoring control in cardioplegia, a procedure performed in cardiac surgery, and intraperitoneal hyperthermic chemotherapy (HIPEC).

-CECE at Braile: in August Braile Biomédica received students from the Specialization Course in Endovascular Surgery (CECE) for the realization of a module at the company. This event is extremely important for the maintenance and growth of effective solutions for the treatment of patients.

- On March 22, 2020, our founder, Domingo Marcolino Braile passed away. He was 81 years old and was at home, where he was treating pneumonia.

Covid-19: this year as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic, Braile Biomédica adopted a series of measures to protect its employees and continue to meet national and international demand with quality products and in an agile manner.

Braille in combating the pandemic: Solis System was launched in January / 2021!
Produced in partnership with the Eldorado Institute and Embrapii (Brazilian Industrial Research and Innovation Company), the System consists of Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation, ECMO, a form of extracorporeal breathing and is being used especially in critically ill patients with Covid-19, when mechanical ventilation is no longer working, helping to keep the patient alive until the disease subsides.

First Case of Online Proctoring Braile Brasil | Ukraine
The first case with international online proctor carried out by Braile Biomédica. Assistance via telemedicine took place during surgery to treat the aorta of a patient with the correct implantation of a Braile endoprosthesis, at Feofaniya Hospital in Ukraine.
