I TAVI IN VENEZUELA
Last Tuesday, July 11th, 2017, an Inovare® Transcateter Valve Transplant was performed for the first time in the city of Caracas, Venezuela. Those responsible for the procedure were physicians Chadi Massare (cardiovascular surgeon), Luis Cressa (Specialist in Hemodynamics) and Diego Gaia (Proctor). A mitral valve-in-valve with Braile Inovare was performed. A combination of technologies in case of severe prosthesis dysfunction (double protease dysfunction, pacemaker and tricuspid plasticity).
Bringing this technological advance to the country and saving lives was only possible thanks to a partnership between Braile Biomédica and Sumimeca Medical Suppies, the company's distributor in Venezuela.
